If 'identity' is seen as something that is fluid, strategic, experimental, temporally contrived, as something that one creates within boundaries (cultural contexts/operating systems/genetic and DNA coding), as something navigated between the prescribed and projected, the 'default' and the 'customised' - then the whole area of computer interfacs, the digitally built environment, becomes an activated site, a hotbed, a hyper-sensitised culturally and racially loaded arena.
